How to reinstall Office and fix the Outlook problem

An issue with Outlook’s installation may cause it to cease responding or cause other troubles. Fortunately, the Office suite comes with a repair tool to help fix common issues.

Close all open Office programmes and then follow these steps to fix the installation:

  • Finish by clicking the Finish button.
  • Selected “Show Profiles,” the “General” tab. Select the Prompt for a profile option.
  • Click on the Apply button to complete the process.
  • Click on the OK button.
  • Open Outlook if it hasn’t already been.
  • Select “New Profile” from the drop-down option for the “Profile Na me” field.
  • Click on the OK button to confirm your action.

After you’ve followed the procedures, Outlook 2016 will take some time to load with the new profile. If, however, you’re no longer having issues, the problem was with your previous profile, which you should delete.
